Acuvue Tru Eye

It was widely publicised today (August 24, 2010) that Johnson and Johnson had a voluntary recall on their 1 Day Acuvue TruEye contact lenses, however Netlens has received notification from Johnson and Johnson that all affected contact lenses have already been recalled and that there is no risk to our clients from the 1 Day Acuvue TruEye products already purchased.

The recall by Johnston and Johnton was initiated due to a malfunction in a production line that affected the solution that the contact lenses were packed in which caused slight redness and irritation to the eye after being inserted in a small batch of lenses. The affected solution was not thought to casue long term or long lasting damage to the eye.  Most of the incidents reported were within Japan.
